Hello, I'm the baker behind Koek Delights

Afrikaans for cake.
I'm a home baker in Ipswich, and I've been making cakes for five years. It started as a hobby and grew into Koek Delights. I love vintage piping, heart cakes and themed cakes for every age, and I also bake South African treats like melktert and peppermint crisp tart.
Every cake is made to order, so tell me your theme, colours and date and I'll design something just for you.

Message me
Send me a message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger with your date, the size you're after and your design ideas. Inspiration photos are welcome.
Get your quote
I'll reply with a quote and check the details with you, from flavours to colours to any allergies.
Pick-up or delivery
Collect your cake in Ripley, or I'll deliver it within 10 km of Ripley.
Please order at least 5 days ahead, and earlier for detailed or themed designs

How do I order a cake?
Send me a message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger (@koekdelights) with your date, the size you're after, your design ideas, and whether you'd like pick-up or delivery. I'll reply with a quote.
How much does a custom cake cost?
Round cakes start at $65 for a 4-inch, 2-layer cake, heart cakes from $70, and shaped or slab cakes from $155. Cupcakes are $30 for a box of 6. Toppers, fondant work and character designs are extra. Message me for a quote on your design.
How far ahead should I order?
Please order at least 5 days ahead, and earlier for detailed or themed designs.
Do you deliver?
Yes. I deliver within 10 km of Ripley, or you can pick up in Ripley. Not sure if you're in range? Message me your suburb and I'll confirm the details.
What flavours do you offer?
Chocolate fudge, chocolate mud, vanilla sponge, vanilla chiffon, red velvet, purple velvet, black velvet, carrot cake, caramel mud, lemon sponge, orange and poppy seed, black forest and coffee cake. These are my most popular, and I make other flavours too, so just ask.
Do you make anything besides cakes?
Yes. Brown butter chocolate brownies are my speciality, and I also make cheesecakes (baked or no-bake) and treats like peppermint crisp tart, melktert (milk tart), assorted cookies and lamingtons. See my treats and message me for details.
Can you cater for allergies?
Please tell me about any allergies or dietary needs when you order, and I'll let you know what I can do.
How should I store my cake?
Keep it in the fridge, then take it out 1 to 2 hours before serving. Cold buttercream is firm and muted. At room temp it's soft, creamy and tastes so much better. See my full cake care guide.
Why might my quote differ from the price list?
Prices may vary with design, flavours and decorations. Toppers, fondant work and character designs are extra. Message me for a personalised quote.
